I wonderful place to get compounded medication. Our cat ...yes cat....has been on a compounded medication for her thyroid for years. They have always called us to let us know it is ready. I had the medication compounded at Walgreens....it was awful! it was not packaged well and was difficult to measure. I am a nurse and appreciate how clean the compounding room is you can see it through a large window. My Mom may start on a compounded medication. She lives south of Boston but I will fill the prescription here and bring it to her !!!!
Good local pharmacy. Prices are higher than other big name franchises.
Wingate's was terrific working with my on medications for my cat who has heart disease. We tried cream, then chewables. Then recently I realized I was out of medication over a holiday weekend. When I called Tuesday morning they agreed to have the medications ready by 5 pm that day, even though compounding the chewables takes a while, so that my cat didn't have to go very long without his medications.

Now, I realize he's just a cat, but this cat is a therapy cat at MIT-- he lives with my daughter in one of the dorms at MIT, and he helps her and the other students de-stress. So he's pretty special :)
I am not much on writing reviews but, Wingate's Pharmacy is awesome! We just started compound medicine for our dog who has heart issues. It's has been difficult giving him his medication. We have tried hiding pills in different foods (he is a fussy eater) now we are doing liquid through a syringe and it's stressful for both the dog and us. I spoke to Maria at the pharmacy, who was wonderful by the way, and she had suggested taking his medication and putting it into a soft treat form which comes in different flavors. We are going to try placebo's of the different flavors and see which one the dog likes. I can't thank Maria enough for taking the time to help with other options that are out there.
